Dr Mysaa

Dr. Maysaa Hameed, M.D. (ABIM/ABOM)

I’m here to help patients of all backgrounds on their weight loss journeys.

Recognizing the importance of addressing the root causes of weight gain, I emphasize the development of a personalized treatment plan for each patient. Successful weight management involves more than counting calories — it requires a holistic approach that considers underlying medical conditions, lifestyle habits, emotional well-being, and individual goals.

As a board-certified internal medicine physician, I initially practiced primary and preventive care medicine. Soon after, I found my interest in obesity medicine due to my desire to help patients struggling to lose weight. I specialized in obesity medicine after completing further education and training as required by the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

My approach to weight management is rooted in evidence-based practices and a patient-centered philosophy. I understand that each individual’s weight loss journey is unique, so I tailor my treatment plans accordingly. By building strong relationships with my patients, I can develop personalized strategies that encompass nutrition counseling, physical activity recommendations, behavioral therapy, and, when appropriate, medication management. I believe in empowering my patients to take control of their health while equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to achieve sustainable weight loss.
